Integration Services

Telecommunications providers and large private enterprise network operators rely on AMERICAN SYSTEMS’ ISO 9001:2000 registered staging and integration facility to build or upgrade their networks quickly and cost-effectively. With over 5,000 square feet of warehouse space in Springfield, Virginia, and over 14,000 square feet of combined integration and warehouse space at our Chantilly headquarters, we can handle high volume production of fully integrated and tested computer and networking systems. Our Chantilly facility features raised computer floors, clean rooms, -48 V DC power, and an inventory management system.

We use approved ISO 9001:2000-documented processes to ensure our customers receive quality products and repeatable results. Our technicians have detailed work instructions with built-in quality checklists to verify their work.

To initiate the process, we receive, inspect, and bar code all incoming materials, whether furnished by the client or provided by AMERICAN SYSTEMS. We store all materials in a secured material inventory area and send our clients full reports on all materials received and in inventory. As they are needed, materials are picked from inventory and delivered to the production floor.

Following a detailed set of drawings, our technicians mount components, install all intra- and inter-rack cabling, install power and grounding, and label all components.   We perform equipment burn-in, test, and software loading; IP addressing; and system configuration.

Each system undergoes several quality assurance checks during each phase of production, and the technicians execute a final system test and acceptance plan before we prepare the system for shipping.

Our shipping department has transported fully populated cabinets or racks worldwide. If we are shipping individual pieces, we assemble pallets that contain all pieces required for a particular site.  When the equipment arrives at the customer’s site, our engineers and technicians assist with installation as needed, and upon completion our Network Operations Center can support turn-up and ongoing management.
