AMERICAN SYSTEMS Selects Brian Fitzpatrick to Lead Citizen Safety Strategic Business Area

Public Sector Business Development Leader to Target Agencies Tasked with Preventing and Responding to Public Safety Challenges  

January 19, 2010 — Chantilly, VA — AMERICAN SYSTEMS today announced the appointment of Brian Fitzpatrick as vice president of the company’s Citizen Safety strategic business area. In this role, Fitzpatrick will spearhead AMERICAN SYSTEMS’ business development to help agencies ensure public safety and security.

Fitzpatrick brings more than 20 years of experience in cultivating and developing new business in federal markets. He has served in senior-level public sector business development roles at many of the country’s largest systems integrators and solutions providers, including Harris Communications, Northrop Grumman, and Siemens Corporation.

Most recently, Fitzpatrick was vice president of business development for Ericsson Federal, where he oversaw business development for federal, state and local markets.

Fitzpatrick is based out of AMERICAN SYSTEMS’ Chantilly, VA office.
