Inaugural AMERICAN SYSTEMS Invitational Golf Tournament Culminates in First Professional Title for Winner Leah Wigger

April 8, 2008 – Chantilly, Va. – AMERICAN SYSTEMS, a government and commercial IT solutions provider and one of the top 100 employee-owned companies in the U.S. concluded the “AMERICAN SYSTEMS Invitational,” a Duramed FUTURES Tour event, on Sunday, April 6, in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The AMERICAN SYSTEMS Invitational marked the company’s first major sponsorship of an athletic event and was the first official women’s professional golf tournament at LPGA International since the LPGA’s 2000 Arch Wireless Championship.

The tournament, which benefited the American Lung Association, also included two days of Pro-Am activities before tee-off on April 4.
